Dear Jack is gone with his sweet thoughtful ways
and his kind concern that brightened our days.
But our Jack will be with us as we trudge on and on
and lighten our burdens from wherever he’s gone.
Jack B. Schleif, 92, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he had been of Jensen Beach since 1973, coming from his birthplace.
Jack was a Veteran of World War II, serving his country in the United State Army Air Force, receiving the American Theater Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal for his service.
He is survived by one son, Mark Schleif, and his wife, Cindi, of Colorado; two daughters, Mary Berner, and her husband, Jeff, of Jensen Beach, and Linda Schleif, and her husband, Dr. Donald Weiner, of Stuart; one grandson, Joshua Berard, and his wife, Andrea, of Palm City; and two great-grandchildren, Noah, and Sage.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Betty Schleif, who passed in 1997, and his son, Scott Schleif.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
