Randall David “Dave” Wilhoit II, 76, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Vero Beach, Florida. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1937 to the late Randall David and Nell Wilhoit. He and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Vero Beach in 2000.
Dave was a graduate of Charleston High School and The University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia. He worked for McJunkin Corporation for over forty years, until his retirement as Senior Corporate Vice President in 2001.
Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Fuller Wilhoit; sons, Randall David Wilhoit III with wife, Sandy, of Greenville, SC, Stephen Carson Wilhoit with wife, Nancy, of North Palm Beach, FL, and Matthew Fuller Wilhoit with wife, Alissa, of San Juan Capistrano, CA; daughter, Anne Wilhoit Sherley with husband, Rick, of Seattle, WA; sisters, Sally Harman, Elizabeth Spelsberg and Nancy Richard; and brother, John Wilhoit. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilee Wilhoit.
The family will hold a private graveside service in Charleston, WV.
